Hi there @doreet, pleased to make your acquaintance! My wonderful teammate, @ghostinhershell, just published a great guide on how to secure your GitHub account in minutes that I recommend. Then @gvwilson and @smallperks have this resource for staying safe online 🔒 . You mentioned you are an artist so I wanted to share some resources around GitHub to keep your creative spirit flourishing:
Looking forward to seeing what you create 🎨 |

HI, my name is Doreet; I'm a senior(ok, old lady!)-and since socializing to make new friends in this town is hard,I decided to take ,my limited tech-knowledge and start to (safely) socialize w/people online.I once was an artist so now I love using free Asian software online to do art.I am on a couple websites, but the socialization is dim.We don't socialize much.I know it can be dangerous to meet peop[e & talk online, and there are a lot of crooks. So I'd like to know,"how do I socialize safely?"Where would you go?(Facebook hates me)-----What are the folks here like?HOW DO I PROTECT MYSELF from very evil people (and Software)--online?Do you have tto learn lots of difficult technical stuff?I HAVE been hacked before,it was horrible. They hacked into my computer screen and my tv screen!-And then just left! No left bad effects.-It might have been people I used to know--ok,am I in the wrong site?I am pretty curious person.Thank you very much.-I do follow codes of conduct.(I do art on a very young person's site and we must be careful to not discuss any subject youngsters can't handle.-even age.) Let me know beginners' things I must learn.--Or if this site is not ok for less-technical people .Thank you,all best!--Doreet =( 0 / 0 )=
