When committing to a repo, use the following command in the Description section:
Co-authored-by: name [email protected]
Co-authored-by: another-name [email protected]

Then create a pull request and merge it. This worked for me.

Coauthor 2 is someone else.

So coauthour 1 is lets say you

I will walk you through on how I did it.

1. Make sure you have a collaborator to your repo
2. Create a new branch
3. When committing the changes, right after you finished typing your commit message don't close the double quotes. Instead add 2 newlines or just press Enter 2x and on the third line, add the following.

Co-authored-by: Matt Clark <[email protected]>

4. The whole commit process should look like below

I followed the steps below to get the Pair Extraordinaire Badge:

1. Download the Github Desktop application and install it. https://desktop.github.com/
2. Clone one of your repositories using GH Desktop app
3. Create a branch
4. IMPORTANT: Make sure you have added a Collaborator to the repo via github.com settings collaborator menu
5. Make changes to your code
6. Before you commit the changes using the GH Desktop app add a Co-Author, this can be found just above the Commit button
7. Publish the changes
8. Create a pull request
9. Merge to default branch using squash and merge

Pair extraordinaire can be achieved by co-authoring a commit. You have to include Co-authored-by: NAME <[email protected]> in your commit message. For exmple:

To obtain the "pair extraordinaire" badge, you need at least one other collaborator. It's literally as I described above.. you can mention yourself and another account that has been added as a collaborator.

The badge levels are something like 1-10-25-100 for level 1-2-3-4..

It worked only for one person when I put myself to Co-authored-by: after my coo-author. It did not show up on my profile.
It shows on his profile though.
I guess you need to put only the person that is not the author of the commit to Co-authored-by:
